* * * A new video (down on the left!), filmed by my friend on her compact still camera, at the closing down party of my favourite music shop - The Living Tradition. * * * Click here for a jukebox featuring recordings from West Virginia - four new songs, a very early one and two retakes of songs from cd 1 . You can also hear my first album here. It's bigger and more manageable now, with that awful default crossfader disabled. A very early mixdown from ace engineers John and Leon . will replace with later mix as soon as poss. * * * Feb/Mar 08, and I'm back in action, enjoyed the gigs in Charlies (abetted by Neil on hamonicas and Marja on fiddle), and the Roundy, both bars here in my home town. Looking forward to supporting John Spillane in de Barras, Clon, first Thurs in April. * * * Here's part of a nice review by fellow songwriter Paul Flood "edithsongs" of the gig I did in Naas with John and Ger Wolfe: "Fintan took the microphone first and for the next 20 minutes drew the audience into his own unique world of song. His voice, with it's strength of expression and pure musicality simply blew the audience away. Not too many people will forget this performer in a hurry. ... The night was wrapped up in the final furlong when all three, Fintan, Ger and John took the stage each singing one of their own songs with the other two acting as backing singers/musicians. Thanks lads for a night that won't be easily forgotten." * * *
